Prior to promoting Solution Explorer Tasks using OMW, verify that appropriate Transfer Activity Rules are defined within Object Management Configuration application (P98230) for the SE_REL (task relationship), SE_TASK (task), SE_VAR (variant or menu filtering fine cut information), SE_RULE (qualifier rule). Verify that these are defined for the appropriate Control Tables data source for your from and to environment.
Within Security Workbench (P00950), setup Solution Explorer Security with preset 3 and OMW logging enabled. Then log out and back in to the software. Having the OMW logging enabled, system will automatically get the task and related records to appear in the default project when you add or modify a task, relationship or menu filtering (fine cut) information.
Once the appropriate records are in the default project, to promote them, move them to a new project and promote the project just like promoting any other objects within OMW. This will promote the task, task relationship and fine cut settings based on the records that exist in the project.

NOTE: For EnterpriseOne 8.11 and later releases, after making a promotion in OMW, you should be able to sign-on to the target environment on a Windows client, select the option for Menu Design, choose the View from the list of Views and see your new task information. Prior to the information appearing on the Web Client, you will need to either clear the cache on the Web Client or stop and restart the web server to clear the cache.
